Kathmandu
Trekking to Everest Base Camp is a challenging yet rewarding adventure that offers breathtaking views of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest, and taking back to Lukla or Kathmandu by helicopter will be a different level of experience you gonna have on this trip of a lifetime. Here’s what you can expect on the Everest Base Camp trek:
The Everest Base Camp trek is considered moderately challenging. It involves walking for several hours each day over varied terrain and at high altitude. While no technical climbing is required, trekkers should be prepared for steep ascents, rocky trails, and changes in weather conditions.
The best time to trek to Everest Base Camp is during the pre-monsoon (spring) season from March to May and the post-monsoon (autumn) season from September to December. These periods offer stable weather, clear skies, and favorable trekking conditions.
While a good level of fitness is recommended, trekkers of varying fitness levels can undertake the Everest Base Camp trek. Regular cardio exercise and hiking preparation are advisable to ensure physical fitness for the demands of the trek.
Sufficient acclimatization is crucial to prevent altitude sickness. Trekkers should ascend gradually, stay hydrated, and recognize the symptoms of altitude sickness. It’s recommended to include rest days in the itinerary for acclimatization and to descend if symptoms become severe.
Accommodation along the trek route ranges from basic tea houses to more comfortable lodges with amenities such as hot showers and WiFi, especially in the lower elevations, but higher up, accommodation is more basic. Most of the trekkers find delicious food along the trail, with different meal options. As the Everest base camp trek is more commercial now, food and accommodation facilities are getting better day by day to serve their guest in the mountains.
While it’s possible to trek independently, many trekkers opt to hire a guide or porter for added support, safety, and convenience. Guides can provide valuable insights and assistance, while porters can help carry trekking gear and luggage, reducing physical strain.
Essential items to pack include sturdy hiking boots, warm clothing, a good-quality sleeping bag, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a first aid kit. It’s important to pack light but ensure you have all the necessary gear for the trek.

Great Team Sali
Great support team from Sali. Sali has great problem skills so we are in safe hands with him. Sali and his team members are warm and friendly always
Just go with them “Blindly”
Just came back from EBC trek with Mountain Worl Treks. Sali and his team of guides Sudip, Suresh, Ramesh, Badri and the porters were exemplary to say the least. The experience of trekking in the Himalayas was overwhelming but the service offered by the team made it possible. They made sure we got to stay in the best lodges, got the best food available and supported us to achieve the trek in every possible way. I was the slowest person in the group every day, but there was always one of the guides walking with me to make sure I was fine, and encourage and push me to the destination. After reaching EBC, I was very tired and wanted to come back to Lukla by helicopter. Sali arranged it without any upfront payment and made sure I was received by someone at Lukla and put on to the flight to Ramechap. This goes to show his commitment towards his clients. I paid the Heli fare after returning home as my cards were not working in Kathmandu. I am indeed grateful to Sali and his team for helping me complete my dream trek without any hindrance.
If you want to go for trekking in Nepal just choose Mountain World Treks blindly and trust me, you will come back happy and content like me.

The history, the views, the spirituality of the experience and the daily challenge to slog 7 hour tough but rewarding days. What made this special was the friendliness, professionalism and organizational skills of Saligram and his team and the guidance and care I recieved from my guide Ishwor throughout the trip. The accommodation, food and accessibility to good toilets, hot showers, internet and power all the way up to 5000 meters at Gora Shep added to the magic of the trip and the comfort level for a 63 year old like myself.
